Don’t let a missing form or a missed closing time cost you the tender

Register the tender, assign the work, track every SBD form, certificate and returnable to Verified, and submit on time — physical, email, eTender Portal or the issuer's own portal.

Every new register gets Pro free for 14 days, with no card needed. After that, teams of up to 3 stay free. Sign in with Microsoft or Google.

Most bids aren't lost on price — they're lost on an unsigned form, an expired certificate or a misread closing time. Bid Environment is built around how South African tenders actually work.

Read the tender

Upload the PDF. Then check what it found.

The reader fills in the reference, the dates, the compulsory briefing and the list of returnables. Each value shows the page and the words it came from, and stays marked “not checked” until someone on your team confirms it.

The Dates section of a tender: the briefing date checked against the document, and the compulsory briefing and closing date marked “From the document, not checked” with the page and quote, each with a Confirm it matches button.
Every date the reader fills in points to its page in the tender pack.

Comply

Every returnable, tracked to Verified

  • Start from the SBD, MBD or SOE set, or the tender's own list
  • Attach each document and see who must sign it
  • Fill in the issuer's SBD/MBD forms from your bid profile (Pro and Team)
  • Download one submission pack, numbered in checklist order (Pro and Team)
A returnables checklist: 3 of 11 required returnables ready, SBD 1, SBD 4 and the tax compliance PIN marked Verified, with a Download submission pack button.
Required items still outstanding close to closing day turn critical.

Pipeline

Every bid on one board, from lead to submitted

Drag a tender from stage to stage. Each card shows the reference, the issuer, the time left to closing and the bid owner. Moving a tender to Submitted with required returnables still outstanding asks you first.

The pipeline board with Lead, Qualified opportunity, Development and Submitted columns, two tender cards in each, every card showing its reference, issuer, time to closing and bid owner.
Sample data. Tiles and a sortable list show the same register.

Questions people ask first

Do you find tenders for us?

No. You bring the tender; Bid Environment helps your team keep track of it from the advert to the award.

Is the tender reader always right?

No reader is, which is why every date and returnable it fills in shows the page and words it came from, and stays marked “not checked” until someone confirms it. The tender document is what counts.

Where is our data stored?

In South Africa. Your register is kept in our database with our hosting provider, Oner, and the documents you upload are stored with Microsoft Azure in Johannesburg. Each company's data is kept separate. How we keep it safe explains more, and the Privacy Policy lists every provider.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It runs in the browser on your phone or computer.

Can I try it without paying?

Yes. Every new register gets Pro free for 14 days, with no card needed. If you don't upgrade, it carries on as Free, which suits teams of up to 3.

What happens when the 14-day trial ends?

Nothing is deleted. If you don't upgrade, the register carries on as Free: everyone already on the team keeps working and every tender stays as it is. You just can't invite more than 3 people, register more than 5 active tenders, start a second project, store more than 500 MB or read more than 2 PDFs a month until you upgrade or close some tenders out. The Pro features (filling in the issuer's forms, the submission pack, analytics and the activity log) switch off.

What happens when we run out of PDF reads?

The reader stops until the 1st of next month, and you fill in the details yourself. Or an Admin can buy 10 more reads for R99 from the Billing tab. They are used only once the month's reads run out, and last 12 months.

Who can see our tenders?

Only the people you invite. Each company's register is private.
